Months and months passed and Miss Molly kept being passed up for adoption.
The would be adopters made remarks about her being too shy. She did seem
to become more shy when visitors were here. It was as though she didn't
want to leave our ranch.
In February a young woman came to the ranch and decided to adopt our
Miss Molly. We were all happy, except Tony. He worried and missed her
something awful. At least once a day after her adoption Tony would talk
about his concern for her. Well, come to find out, Tony's concern should
not have been taken lightly. Word got back to our ranch that Miss Molly
was not working out well in her new home. When Kinky found out he immediately
checked the situation out. It was true, Miss Molly was in bad hands. Tony
was so upset he was ready to drive "Trigger," (our 19 year old
pick-up) up to Austin and get her.
Within hours, our friend, Stephanie DuPont, heard about Miss Molly's
situation and took action. She found Miss Molly the most incredibly perfect
home! She called her friend, Kay, who lived in Austin. After talking with
Stephanie, Kay drove immediately over to Miss Molly's house. The woman
had no problem giving Miss Molly up to Kay. The woman told Kay that something
was wrong with Miss Molly, because every time that she would sit down,
Miss Molly would come over and sit by her. That was all Kay had to hear.
She put a leash on Miss Molly and they left.
Miss Molly is no longer in Utopia, but she's in paradise now! She lives
with Kay and her beautiful daughter Rachel. Every night she gets to sleep
in bed with Rachel and their cat. Rachel and Kay love her, but not as
much as she loves them!
This past weekend, Kay, Rachel and Miss Molly came for a visit to the
ranch. (Tony was more excited than anyone about seeing his Miss Molly.)
Seeing Miss Molly so happy made us all smile, even Tony. We all watched
as Miss Molly followed Rachel all over the ranch and would never leave
Rachel's side. It was obvious to all of us that Miss Molly had finally
found her angels and that Kay and Rachel had found theirs.
Seeing Miss Molly, Rachel and Kay so happy and remembering the many other
dogs that we have placed in great homes makes what we do, worth it. Thank
you Kay and Rachel.
Also, thank you Stephanie for helping Miss Molly. Your an angel too!
Sincerely,
