ERRAMOUSPE FAMILY RECEIVES "WRANGLER OF THE YEAR" AWARD!

The Ranch loves Jeff and Mary Erramouspe! We first met Mary and Jeff at last year's Bonefit in Austin, Texas. They are the couple who out bid everyone on Dwight Yoakam's white autographed boots.

The following week, they came down to visit our ranch. After visiting, they ended up adopting and going home with two of our favorite dogs, Fred and Patsy Cline. Well that is not the end of it.

In October, they came back to visit the ranch again and gave us a very large donation! We really needed it, too. By now we had already decided to give them the 'Wrangler of the Year" award.

Then on February third, the ranch received an e-mail from them. I almost fainted when I read it. Tony was this close to taking a tranquilizer after he had read it. Then when I called Kinky over in Australia and read him their e-mail, he nearly choked on his cigar, before I could even flnish reading it to him. None of us could believe their generosity for the ranch.

Their e-mail that they sent wanted to know if they could donate a used vehicle to us. They said it was a 1996 Ford Explorer. After about an hour had passed I calmed down and I called them. You won't believe this, but Mary was apologizing for it being four years old. They wanted to donate it to us, so that we could transport the dogs in all kinds of weather. After talking to both of them, it was decided that they would come down that Saturday and deliver the Ford. And they did exactly that.

Saturday morning, they arrived at the ranch about eleven. Tony and I could not believe that it was a used vehicle and thank goodness it was white. Our ranch logo looks best on white. It honestly looked brand new. Then the kicker is, it wasn't just a Ford Explorer, it was a loaded out Eddie Bauer Ford Explorer! It has so many buttons that I still haven't figured them all out. It also only had thirty eight thousand miles on it! It looked like it had just come from the factory. But that wasn't enough. Mary and Jeff then handed us a sack full of CD's for the CD player. So now when we rescue or need to transport one of our dogs, they not only are air conditioned, but they get to listen to Willie, Merle, Dwight and Kinky. Before Jeff and Mary left, I named the Explorer, the Nellybelle. As soon as they had left, Tony and I took it for a spin. Trust me, everyone should have one of these cars sometime in their life. more. We love it! But there is still more.

Jeff and Mary then came back to the ranch on the day of our Dwight Yoakam Bonefit and volunteered themselves to help us with all the camera crews. Mary had made special sandwiches the night before and they brought all kinds of food for the media to enjoy. Thank goodness they were here, because we had MSNBC, Lone Star Beer executives, Nickelodeon, PBS, Home and Garden, Dutch television, jewford, Ted Mann and Kinky all running around the ranch taping. When it was time for all of us to head to Helotes for the Bonefit, Mary and Jeff then gave us another large donation!

Now y'all know the whole story about Jeff and Mary and why they got our first "Wrangler of the Year" award. All that I can say is, "God bless them and we love them."
