Our friend and Board Member, U.S.
Representative Lamar Smith, came out to visit our ranch on July
30, 2003! Even though it was a very hot Texas day, Lamar
insisted on giving out treats and playing with each and every
one of our 52 dogs! After two hours of being in the pens, Lamar
offered the use of his ranch in South Texas as a place to foster
care some of our dogs! I'm not sure who was more excited
about his offer because as soon as the words came out of his
mouth, our dogs cranked up in a howl that could be heard a half of
a mile away! I'm sure that if our dogs could vote Lamar
would be their man. We salute Lamar and our gate is always open
to him!
